automate data modeling means any non-qlik person can even operate the data model qvw,  its opening, reloading etc either using windows schedulers or any other means...

any other suggestion??

you need to educate them,better you can prepare a document to help them how it works. For reloading we have scheduler to do that..

In general it's possible to read external files like excel to create datamodels on the fly and also to automate such processing. But it will be heavily complex and complicated either in development and in maintaining and you will need a lot of efforts and very professional people to do this job.

The question is WHY?

If you don't want to use a qlikview-server you could do it a lot more easier with a qlikview-fatclient (maybe as PE version) as an intermediate approach. But even that is far away from being trivial.
