Hi,
We have a document of more then 1GB and growing.
I would like to apply data reduction for users who would open the document via access point.
The full data users are opening the document on the server.
The average size of a document who is limited to certain data would be around 200 MB.
My question is: assuming about 5 users would access the document at the same time, would managing one big document is ok, or should I prepare a specific document for each user (instead of reduced data).
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I think the answer to your question depends on a few factors, like for instance when you mention that 5 users would access the document at the same time would they use the exact same reports/views? If the only difference is regarding the data they are allowed to see I think it's perfectly fine to have just a single document, for example if a document is loaded into memory on QVS and uses 200MB of RAM then each additional user would add 1-10% on top of that so it's not going to be 5x200MB if thats your concerning.
I hope this helps you.
Cesar
Thanks!
