Default Access Point Category

Is it possible to default the access point category throuh the URL or other method?

For example, we would like to have a link called sales on our intranet that would take the users to the access point and default to the category of sales.

I dont think it is possible. But next time the user uses the same link, the browser will remember his last category choice.

Have you solved the problem? I have the same issue...

Not yet, but we haven't spent much time on it. Upgrading to v11 first, then we will re-visit.

See here for how to pass parameters for e.g. selections or bookmarks in the url.

Interesting info, but I am trying to default the category in the Access Point.

Hi

Did you ever find a solution to this ? I too would find it useful.

Also, is it possible to default the mobile client settings? I want to make sure any new QlikView models do NOT appear in Access Point, until I specifically switch them on.

No, nobody replied me…I tried to manage access point javascript, but version 11 is impossible to do…

I’m sorry…

Let me know if you find a solution..

Stefan,

I was able to get it to work, but I had to increase the timeout value to 500.

Thank you very much,

Frank
