Hi,
I have deployed the dashboard that was saved in normal mode in desktop. It opens in normal mode for most users when they are accessing it from Accesspoint (IE full browser) but for some it opens in Webview (IE full browser).
I've not been able to understand this behavior and how these users (for whom it is opening in Webview) can view it in normal mode?
Looking for help and guidance.

Yes, almost you are there. Here, If section access there for users then it may open only for them. So better to read about section access and meantime for your question answer is you can use Governance dashboard to understand who is using this application. It will identify

Thanks for your reply but there is no section access implemented for this dashboard. So it is definitely not related to Section Access.

But, I doubt access point is used and works only in Web View mode only. Web view means access point only. But, Here you are saying specific users it works normal mode and remaining it used for Web view. Can you explain bit more on this. How they know where where we are. Is any object not visible to all others specifically ot what
I've viewed the dashboard from their computers and have seen it firsthand that it opened in Webview. It is the only dashboard for these users and I've not implemented any security (through section access or otherwise) for the dashboard. I've not seen that any object is missing in either view (Web or normal) for any users.
This is case, Section access won't help for you as you notice. Here, Could be weird behavior. And you are expecting the difference

ANS: Here, The main advantage is Qlikview Access point can understand default is web view only. And Advantages are If we have any extension objects in our qvw the files are opened while web view but not in Normal mode. The objects can work only in Web view it should more that 11.2 SR5 versions only. if you want more information i would suggest here to respondmarcus_sommer & pcammaert
Check your accesspoint settings in QMC.
QMC->System->Setup->Qlikview Webserver->Accesspoint ->Accesspoint Settings ->Default Preferred Client
if you select Full Browser and Small Device Version , user can open application in Ajax and Mobile client mode
for IE plugin Comparability select IE plugin
Did those users, who can only access documents using the AJAX client, install the IE Plugin for Internet Explorer on their machines?

Make sure you have selected "IE Plugin" under Default Client and users have installed IE plugin on their machines.
