1. How many dimensions can be used in bar chart? Is there any limits mentioned?
2. Which qv object has only expression, no dimensions?
1) Not sure....
2) You can use a straight table and just not put any dimensions or you can just use a text object.
1. I don`t think you can reach a limit with a chart that you make sense. you could use a dimension as a trellis, one for axis and another to create bar segments. It can be difficult to include another one (not thinking about technical limitation)
2. You can create a bar chart with a set of expressions and no dimension.
Gauges don`t need dimensions
You can use only 2 dimensions in a bar chart. You can add more dimensions but it will be not funcioning as you want. You can use Trellis to use 3rd dimension.
And Guage chart is the object that do not use any dimension. It used only expression. It will anyway prompt for the dimension but adding a dimension do not make any effect.

Hi,
Pie, line and scatter charts can display a maximum of two dimensions
Bar, block and grid charts three.
Radar charts can only display a single dimension
gauge charts use no dimensions at all.
A funnel chart typically has one to three dimensions.
Further dimensions are ignored.
