Hi together,
I have a question about Button with Export Function in Qlikview. We have implemented it and the important feature for us was the option to select data fields to be exported, to define path and so on. The problem is that all this does not work in the Web View (desktop version) and in the web environment (customer environment where he can access the dashboard). It means we have to define data fields and path in the desktop version, then upload it to customer environment and as soon as he clicks on button, file with specified data fields will be exported. Any idea if it is possible to select data fields and define path in the web view?
Thanks in advance.
They way we handle dynamic field selection for export is to create a straight table with all the fields as dimensions. We then use the "Enable Condition" option to show/hide the dimensions. We have a list with all the fields (LED check boxes) that is used in the "Enable Condition". The list box is associated with another state so that the selection does not appear in the default current selections. The measure is a generic calculation.
I checked on our AccessPoint and we have both the export to Excel button and right-click on chart to export. The export is just a csv file that I can open or "save as" on the browser. Not sure how or setup is different from yours.
Hi Jerry,
Thank you very much, but I was meaning not Export Function in the chart, but in the object Button. When you create an object Button, then go to Actions -> Add -> External -> Export, you can see the function I mean. This Export Function can only be configured in the desktop version (I can choose fields and path), but in the AccessPoint I don't have the option to choose fields or define a path, but just to click on it and to export predefined (data fields I've set in the desktop version) columns. My question was about is there any option with the object Button to do the same in the AccessPoint, as in the desktop version.
Thanks in advance.
You mean, can we have the same button design features in the Shared Objects menu interface as in QV Desktop? Unfortunately no, the Shared Objects design features are limited to a subset of QV Desktop features. WebView mimics the AP menu items.
Hi Peter,
Yes, this was exactly my question. Thanks for your help.

Hi Anasov,
Did you got any way to do it ? exporting data from accesspoint to specific path defined in the Qlikview Server?
Hi Rabbani,
No, unfortunately, not. I rely on Peter Cammaert's response regarding this issue who is saying it was not possible.

Magomed.
