Sure, I do not see a problem. See enclosed. Or did I misunderstood your question?

Hello Rakesh,

I think i have not explained the problem properly. When i export the result of my chart (straight table or pivot table) to the excel i want all the data from the charts and in the end somewhere i want the date and time when this chart gets exported. This is cause the user exports a lot of charts and they want the date and time so that they can track when it got exported.

Thanks for helping me out, if you need more info then let me know, i will try to explain again

Is it not the name of the file created, something like CH01_20090918_142727.xls? That has the timestamp in the filename.

the only options seem to be adding the date as dimension or using the export selection stamp option, but a unique date would always have to be selected

Sorry Talha, I misunderstood. I don't think you can change anything with the export feature of QV, but you can certainly manipulate your charts to shouw this date/time somewhere somehow. See enclosed one example, where I have used "Total Label" field to populate this information. Now if your charts are using this field for other purpose, you will need to find some other way to show this in the chart somehow. I would be interest in knowing what you ended up doing. So please update here.

Hello Rakesh and Tom,

Thanks for all the time and help
