Extracting and exporting part of data in PDF or Excel

Can somebody explain me how I can extract a part of a QV document in PDF or Excel and send it via email to some user, scheduling the activity ?

I have read that the Publisher Enterprise can not do it, so I have to write a macro.

But what is the best way to do it ?

I don't want the macro to be executed from a user but only from the scheduled activity, but of course users still need to access to the original QV document.

I hope I have explained the scenario correctly.

Hi,

One approach would be to write a VBScript file to launch an instance of QlikView, open the document, run the code to create the PDF or Excel (Examples can be found on the forums for both generating Excel and PDF files as well as creating outlook e-mail objects).

This VBscript could then be scheduled either in Windows Scheduled Tasks or ran as an External application task through Publisher.
