Fact table concept & data Model

     I am new to qlikview and data model concept .I want to know briefly what is fact table and

what is it's importance in data model. pls share any doc,link about this.

fact is a table which contains measures.. you do your analysis buy summing up or count or max.. of some values.. so these all opertions are carried out on the fact tables..

for better understanding go through some dataware housing book..

I think this book 'QlikView 11 for Developers' gives you a good insight how to handle fact and dimension tables in QlikView.
