Hello , I want to apply the general properties from one sheet object to another sheet object.

Hello Friends,

I want to apply the same general properties to another sheet object , is there any direct way to do it?

Yes, there is.

  1. Select the source object (properties you want to copy)
  2. Click the Brush icon in the Design toolbar. It's labeled "Format Painter Tool"
  3. Click on the object that you want to have those same properties

If you want to assign those properties to multiple sheet objects, double-click the Format Painter Tool.

Have you used Format painter tool

Most often will be a simply copy + paste enough. You could also create a theme (qvt-file) from one object and apply this to other objects - Properties/Layout/Theme.

just on the one set all generat setting as per you and then select Apply to all Check box.

How can we create our own theme so that we can apply it on other..

There is for each document/sheet/object by Properties/Layout/Theme a wizard which will create or change a qvt-file (theme) - see also in the manual by format templates and in your install-folder by ...examples/ themes and in ...examples/documents in "Template Sampler.qvw".
