Hide unrelated dimension values in bar chart

Hi All,

I have attached an example qvw where I have a bar chart and I want to hide the dimension values for sites which are not associated to their country.

Hide S1, S2, S3, S7, S8 , S9  for China

Hide S4, S5,S6,S7,S8,S9 for India etc

The chart should display only those dimension values where data is present. Please guide me how can i do this.

Qlikview doesn't show data when displayed in straight table or pivot table but it creates dummy dimension for bar charts.

I am attaching data & screenshot for those who cannot open below qvw:

LOAD

* INLINE

[
Country, Site, NoOfPatients
India, S1, 12
India, S2, 1
India, S3, 17
China, S4, 1
China, S5, 15
China, S6, 11
UK, S7, 12
UK, S8, 1
UK, S9, 10
]

;

Thanks & Regards,

Anosh

Hi Dathu,

Thanks for your reply. I am not using Site dimension multiple times. The dimensions of the chart are Country, Site.

a workaround would be to create a single dimension (=Country & '-'& Site) instead of Country and Site

It is a default behavior in Qlikview as it will produce a scale that will suffice all possible combinations for the data. which here it is ended up having things that you dont want.

Only way i can think of  is   maxgro   way...
