We are an multi site apparel retailer that analysis our sales at very detailed level.
We like to monitor our comparative sales by day.
We have not found a way to make the comp calculation dynamic, we have to flag stores with a comp status either yes or no. This obviously doesn't work if you try to report on a period prior to current date.
The only solution we could think of is a mapping table by store by day which we believe would have a massive performance impact as the data would have to be calculated at transaction level.
Has anyone found a solution for calculation of historical comparative sales percentages ?
