How can i maximise an object only to a certain extent

Hi QV Gurus,

I want to maximise an object only to a certain extent on the sheet so that i can still make selections on list boxes.

Currently if i maximise the objects it covers the entire screen.

How would i go about doing this .

Is there any macro which can help to achieve this .

Regards,

nadeem

Hi Neetha,

how about Cloning the chart, resizing the clone, setting in as conditional show on a variable set via a small button, basic example using simple text boxes attached

Hi Nadeem,

Object properties - Caption tab - change the X-Pos and Y- Pos values.

Hi Neetha ,

Thanks for replying .

The thing is that i want the scatter chart to bet set to a particular X-Pos and Y- Pos values after i click on the maximise button.

I already tried man@ipulating those values.

I am attaching a screenshot of the default behavior of the maximise option and also the required behavior of the maximise button.

Hi Nadeem,

Do you use minimise too? If so then just set the chart to the desired size, then uncheck 'Allow Maximise', so when you restore the chart from the minimised state it will always expand to the desired size.

Hi Andrew,

That does not work either

Hi

Please have a look at the screenshot .

I have attached the screenshot of the scatter chart before maximise and after maximise.

when i maximise the scatter chart it should be limited to the portion of the screen shown in the screenshot.

And when i restore it should go back to the original state

This is the state that i want to achieve

Hi Nadeem,

Set X-Pos and Y-Pos values ,Next uncheck Allow maximize checkbox .

save the document ,close the document and reopen the document and check if it is still the issue.

Hi Neetha,

Still does not solve the issue .

As i mentioned when i open the document it should be in the default state as shown in my screenshot(refer before screenshot) and when i click on maximise it should resize the object (refer after maximise screenshot).

can i use a button to set the desired size of the object .

Nadeem

I guess, with 'Maximize' of chart you might not be able to do that. Instead think of creating another chart with your desired size and make it appear on click event on top of other objects.
