How do we get Qlikview to default to Excel 2013

We are using Qlikview 11.2 and Office 2013, when client do and export  or send to Excel it always defaults to Excel 2003.  How do I change this to default to 2013?  I am not sure where it is picking up the 2003 version of Excel.

Excel has, in principle, two formats for their files.

  • Binary Interchange File Format (BIFF; the older xls format), and
  • Office Open XML (OOXML; the newer xlsx format)

QlikView can export to BIFF, and to many other formats that can be read by newer programs. Export to OOXML has never been implemented in QlikView.

So it has nothing to do which Excel version you have installed.
