How to deconstruct a crosstable - do I have to?

Hi I have a  problem with a crosstable -

It makes sense to have it as a crosstable when people are viewing it to get information as it is clearer and cleaner.

However when I then want to use it in QlikView, it seems to work only when I have deconstructed it and saved it as a table with 2 dimensions as shown below.  Is there an easy way to construct the crosstable to work as shown below?  Even if I could do it in Excel it would be terrific.

I have loaded it as a crosstable but I needed to change it to get to work when I wanted to re-use it.  I am going to try again though!

Not sure if I understood right. Assuming you got the second table from the first one using crosstable and not want to go back to the table1 structure. If that is the case, try with pivot table.

Dim1:Date

Dim2: machine

Exp: Sum(mins)

Now drag the second dimension up to the right corner. Is it what you are looking for?

I had the first table - had to deconstruct to get the second table.  But it was hard work to get to the second table.  I am wondering if there is an easier way that manual copy/paste in Excel or if QlikView could do it?    (But I think it does do it behind the scenes ...)  I think I must have done something else "wrong"
