How to give combine heading to 2 columns in Straight table?

What is the reason for sticking with Straight table? Can you use Pivot table instead?

With two dimension

Say,

Name

Month

and drag Month to over your expression.

It might be easier to see this with a simple sample data... cause from what I am seeing, it still seems like pivot table should be able to get this done... unless I am missing something.... the missing part can be explained by some data
