I can see qvw file but i cannot open it on folder

It's really strange I can view the qvw file trough //folder but trough open in server inside qlikview i cannot view the file.

When i try to open the file in qlikview trough file\open it gives me the message: "Access denied to this qlikview document".

Any ideas or thoughts?

This sounds like a Section Access restriction on the QVW file. Is there someone who has created a Hidden Script and applied Section Access permissions in a section access table?  If so, have that person add you as a person able to see the appropriate content. I am presuming you are using a licensed version of QlikView Desktop and not an evaluation version.

Hi André,

Probably, your user has no rights listed in Section Access, and the document can be seen in AccessPoint because the option "Filter AccessPoint Document List Based on Setion Access" is not marked in the Server tab of the Document Properties (if mark this option the document wouldn't appear in the AccessPoint for your user.

Hi

You need to give authorization to this file.

Do you have publisher with you, If yes while distributing add your user.

If no, Go to this qvw folder, Select qvw --> right click --> Properties --> Security --> Edit --> add user --> add your user here.

Then go to server and allow an available cal to your user.

Check if the document contains Section Access and if you have checked option "Filter AccessPoint Document List Based on Section Access on Document Settings". When this option is enabled, users will only see those documents in the document list on the AccessPoint and in Open in Server, he or she has access to based on section access, in addition to other access rights.
