Installation of Qlikview Desktop X64 fails on Windows Server 2012

Hi All,

Our attempts to install the Qlikview Desktop x64 application fails on Windows Server 2012.

According to the Qlikview System Requirements documentation, the Qlikview Desktop X64 (11.20 SR 10) can be installed in Windows Server 2012.  However, every time we have attempted to install the application using the QlikvewDestkip_x64Setup.exe it fails with the following statement "The operating system is not adequate for running Qlikview x64."

Please note that this server also has a current installation of Qlivkiew Server and Publisher.

Hi Robert,

you are using the incorrect installer, for Windows 2012, you'll need to run the Windows 8 desktop installer (QlikViewDesktop_Win8andUp.exe).

Hi Robert,

It's the wrong installation .exe; you need to download the QlikviewDesktopWin8andUp.exe not the x64 version
