Hello
We have QlikView server
We now moved our Mail server to the cloud and the SMTP settings as per vendor is as follows:
smtp.office360.com
port 25
However when I try to send a test email I get the following message:
The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated
Knowing that we supplied the correct credentials and we are able to send email using VBSCript in an external application
Hi,
The problem is Office365 not being supported by QlikView as it requires a connection via SSL/TLS.
Even changing the QVManagementService.exe.config to UseSSLForSMTP=true wont work with Office365.
To get around this you can use a program to sit between your QlikView and Office365 called Stunnel.

Follow Bill Britts post at the end of that link, and the guide he posted to setup the program.
He's guide shows the config for gmail, but for Office365 you can use the following options
[office365-smtp]
client = yes
protocol = smtp
accept = 25
connect = smtp.office365.com:587
This worked for me from QlikView desktop (with the mail settings set to Authentication Method=AUTH LOGIN)
And worked from the QMC on our server.
