Memory goes high once accessed

We have a qlikview server, whenever we try to access the qvs.exe, the memory Spikes from 6MB to 3GB in a minute and stays there forever. Tried restarting the services and server also. Did not help, again it starts from 6MB and grows upto 3GB.

We have same setup for our QA, but it is not happening there, trying to Find the Difference.

Meantime, Any thoughts.

QlikView Version : QV10 sr3

Thanks in advance,

Anjan

I know you said that this is QV 10 and it been a very long time since I used it, but by tried accessing QVS.exe do you mean accessing the service ?

having QV going up on RAM without anybody doing anything to it is most likely due to having QV documents preloading the data

Hi,

if you open QV.exe with a Qlikview Application (QVW file) remember that the size in the ram of the QVW file can be from 2x to 10x the size of the QVW file on the disk (for example a QVW file that is 300 MB on the disk can be 3 GB in RAM).

Regards.
