Multi Language Interface

How can I have a multi language interface in QV database?

I want to give the user an option of viewing all results in English or Arabic and when the user choose the language all texts need to be displayed on that preferred language.

If the user selects Arabic as the preferred language all texts need to be right to left aligned.

Is this possible? What are the steps?

Thanks,

Sajeevan

Hellow Sajeevan,

look for the "Finance Controlling" application on the DEMO page as a first step.

This application is multilingual. You can easily find out how it works by looking in the properties of the objects.

The alignment you mentioned are not covert here.

Someone else has an idea for that?

Hi Rainer,

Thanks for your quick reply. What I understand is that all these labels in English and Arabic translation needs to be stored in a field? Can you share how this should look like in the scripting enviroment - a small script for one or two items in two languages?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Sajeevan

The app seems to be removed from the demos.

Can you upload the sample app here please?

Thanks for the quick reply Ashftaq,

Very helpful. Do you know if there is any solution of a more generic type of implementation instead of translating word by word all the text in several different languages?

thanks in advance.

Hi,

By default Qlikview support the languages attached in image.

Other then that you have to go for translation.
