While developing in Qlikview v11 (3 QVW files producing about a dozen QVD files, and one QVW file which reads those QVDs into charts, etc.), after a few days the QV applications become unstable. Right click menus disappear, I get error messages about my key commands not being read, and I get internet security messages even though I am not on the internet.
The big one, when I attempt to open one of those QVW apps that writes QVD files, I get a "Navigation to the Web Page was Cancelled" error, which is strange since I am not doing anything with the internet, only trying to open the QVW files for development work. Essentially, I can no longer open that file.
I am using Remote Desktop Connection from my pc to our QV test/development server, which in reality is a VM petition with 16 gigs of memory. The data center people claim that memory is not being taxed.
The solution has been to reboot the server, and restore what appears to be corrupted QV files, loosing my days work.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?
