Opening and Closing Balances

Hi - I hope someone can help me with this (I think) simple request.

I have some data organised as per the attached file and I need to dynamically calculate the opening and closing balance depending on the month(s) selected.

So for example if no selection was made I would want to return the value for opening balance for the earliest week in the data - 10

If February 18 was selected I would want to return the opening balance for the earliest week in Feb (5/2/18) - 9
