Path for log file

Dear colleagues,

there is an option to make every QlikView App to generate a log file. It is usually saved in the root right next to the application.

Question: is that possible to define a path for saving the log file in other direction/folder/server?

Thank you very much!

As far as I know, You cannot change the location of the document log.

Why would you want to do this Marcus?

Some time ago I had problems with tasks which failed randomly. For this I searched for ways to get rid of the log-files for which I enabled to add the timestamp. But this cluttered my application-folders and I wanted to use a separate folder for them and until now it's part of many applications whereby I removed the timestamp-part from the routine.

I know that I could get these log-files from the server-logs but the access isn't very convenient. In the meantime I know your (really great) tool ScriptLogAnalyzer but until now I haven't adapted a loop over the server-logs.

I understand. I was thinking most people would get historical logs from the Distribution Service folder.

I just happen to be updating ScriptLogAnalyzer to handle Distribution Service DocumentLog.txt!
