Pivot table sub totals help needed

Hi All,

In my pivot table i have three columns,

Countrystatecity
AA1A11
AA1A12
Total
AA2A21
AA2A22
AA2A23
Total
BB1B11
BB1B12
Total
BB2B21
Total
BB3B31
BB3B32
Total
Total
Total

In the above example, i am hiding the first two columns as per my requirement by using a simple VB Script, after hiding I wanted to show the sub totals with the names not as 'total' like ... after A12 instead of Tatal i need to show A1, then after A23 i want to show A2 and so on. Please help me to achieve this. I am new to qlikview.

Thank you all for your help in advance.

Thank you very much to all of you ...

the solution is .. apply a intend mode to the first dimension and second dimenstion...

Properties-->Style-->Indent Mode-->Use Only first Dimension Label

and then apply a bold to the text by dragging the fields...

Properties -->Dimension --->select the dimension in used dimension and expand it-- under that select Text Format ---Edit --- '<b>' ---- apply .. apply it for all the dimensions where you want the text to be in bold...

Thank you all

Settings > User Preferences > Objects  > Change "Default Label for Total"

Is this what you were looking for?

Nope, With that we can only change the Default total name to any other name

like Total to Sum or something else. But in my requirement, i want to print that field data name.

for example

Country                State                  City

Americas              New Jersey        Alpha

                                                    Alpine

                                                    Sum(New Jersey)

                            Sum(Americas)

Need to print the field data name instead of default Total.

Hope you understand my requirement now.

Thank you all in advance

Create a pivot table object > Presentation.

You'll see a box with each dimension listed.  Click on each one and change the "Label forTotal" accordingly.

i.e. select dimension Country and enter  "Country" also tick "show partial sums"

Hi,

It is not possible to change the Total label text based on the dimension value.  I tried a lot earlier for doing this.  There is no such option.

Regards,

Jagan.

I don't know a way of doing that rkonatham.

Could an alternative be to do this as an expression?

Something like this:

=MaxString(Country) & ' ' & sum(TOTAL <Country> )
