Previous selection not remebered after a server reload

Specialists,

Here is my challenge. I have a Qlikview document that reloads every minute to keep track of stock changes.

When the user makes selections and uses the "previous selection" button it works normal and the previous seletion is shown.

However, if in that time a reload of the document took place, the previous selection looks to be forgotten and goes back to the "clear" selection.

Is there a way to avoide this?

Thanks,

Dennis.

PS. Using Qlikview Sever Client Build Number 11.20.12451.0

Hi Dennis,

This is not possible, because whenever Dashboard reloads the Dashboard is also reload in the Browser.  So it won't retain the selections.

Regards,

Jagan.

Thanks for the answer.

And what if the user does not use the browser but Qlikview desktop to open the Qlikview document?

Hi,

Not Sure.  I think you won't get the latest data if you open in Qlikview Desktop.  Try it.

I was thinking about a work around....

Would it be possible to make an action (on every selection) which saves the selection and make (overwrite) a bookmark?

That way the bookmark can be used as an action on a button.

This might work....

However, the overwrite of the bookmark always uses the current selection, and I need the previous selection.

Is there maybe a macro that can do this?  Any other workaround would be ok too.

Dennis.
