I am currently creating an application to replicate a pricing model that runs in Excel. The calculations I need to replicate use two different formulas for evaluating the normal distribution - NormSDist and NormDist. NormSDist replicates the function that I can see in QlikView (NORMDIST), however the Excel function NormDist has an option to calculate either the cumulative distribution function or probability mass (or density) function. It is the PMF that I need to use, however it seems that QV may not be capable of this.
Any guidance on whether the current function provides the PMF calculation (I believe to be the first derivative of normal distribution) or whether you know of a work around, would be extremely appreciated.
