Problem with exchange rate calculation

Hi all - I have a strange problem with exchange rate calculations I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I am coverting from the local currency of the company into USD in the example below.  You can see the GBP amount gets converted perfectly, but the value that is already in USD and so should be getting multiplied by 1 to get the exact same value is not working:-

The expression is simply the revenue in local currency * PRate:-

The PRate is joined to the data model using a PRate key which is the local currency and calendar year/month:-

What could be causing the expression which is taking a value and multiplying it by 1 to get it so wrong?
