QlikView Document Analyzer v3.5 Available

Version 3.5 update to the free QlikView Document Analyzer tool is available for download

Changes for version 3.5:

- Corrected file detection when using UNC path ("\\") to QVW.

- Added new computed field, "Expression Table Count".

- Improved function identification logic to find more functions.

- Added "Like Objects Count" attribute for Objects, identifying candidates for linked objects.

Yes, Document Analyzer is stall available. The current version is 3.8. The download link works for me.

Try going directly to the "Tools" section of Qlik Cookbook and select it from the list.

Hi Rob,

I also have a complex app with thousands of objects.

After running test with Process Document mine stopped at this place

set openOutputFile with Permission denied at the top

Hi Rob,

I have the Analyzer 3.8  pointing at a complex large qlikview document

All the metadata in the qvwork directory seems to have been created but the process doesn't seem to complete. I have had it running over the last weekend and it still has not completed.

What can I do to see where its 'locked' or whats needed to be done.

Take a look at the DocumentAnalyzerExtract.log file in the metadata directory.  What's the last entry in the log?

Rob are you able to tell the app where to save the metadata because its not in the location that the log has identified

No, it looks like I have run out of disk on my C Drive, Ill add some more and give it a try, thanks Rob
