Any PDF writer will work with QV.  There was QlikViewPDF years ago but discontinued.  It was based on CutePDF, as far as I know.  It is available for download and it is free.

Hi Michael,

Any PDF writer is working but the Issue is all Information which writing to PDF is in Image format. If i create a PDF from a Word documents which include some tables, text and Chart , Image in the document. then also after opening the PDF file i am able to select and search TEXT etc.

But when i create a Report in Qlikview which have Text, Tables and Chart and convert to PDF with the same PDF converter tool. the Whole PDF contain is converted into Image format and i am not able to perform search into that.

Dear Michael,

Please find two PDF file both are converted with Netro PDF Creator Printer.

1) From Word to PDF , if you open the file you will found that you are able to search the TEXT and even select the TEXT too.

2) From Qlikview Report to PDF, if you open the file you will not able to search the TEXT and even not able to select because its is Image format.

Thanks & Regards,

JKV

I doubt that there is a solution for that. As far as I know there is an Acrobat function (as well as in the Office applications) called OCR (Optical Character Recognition)...but I dont think that this comes with any (free) pdf writer

I think this is because Word sends the visual information in a kind of (scalable) vector-graphic way to the print driver. Qlik just delivers a 'pile' of pixels in the case of textboxes...but its just an assumption. I spend sooo much time with the Report-function just to get crappy results that I am more than happy to work with NPrinting these days
