Qlikview Documents not Opening on a Personal Edition

Hi Guys,

i created my Model using QV Personal Edition and never opened it anywhere, but when i re-open from my local it gives me an error message of exceeding the maximun number document recoveries allowed.

How can i solve this one???

For whatever reason, you seem to have recovered documents four times. That means that any documents you created before can't be opened with your Qlikview installation anymore. You should be able create new files and use those without problems.

If there's a -prj directory where your document is save remove that -prj directory. It sometimes happens that Qlikview creates this directory for version control. With PE you can't use versioning. Removing this directory removes the version control for the document so it's possible to open the document again.

No i don't have that -prj within the document storage folder. i have no idea on how this i can solve.

Is your local system's Personal Edition is licensed?

As Qlikview can open only 3 documents in a non- licensed personal Edition.

I think you can open the same on a licensed desktop edition. And it will work fine.
