Search in table box

Hi,

I have several table boxes which works as data dump.

I have a created a search box for searching.

But the issue is, i want the search box to work only on the table box which is currently maximised and search those fields which are present in that tablebox for that particular string and not like an associative search.

For eg if i search for a name it should only filter if that name if it exists in the table box.

Hi Naddem,

There are few indirect options that you can try out:

1.  Instead of Seach box you can use internal selection for every table .

for every table box -> Right click go to properties-> presentation tab ->check in 'Drop-down select' it will enable dimension selection on table box.

2. Use Alternative state - Set a separate state for selection box and the table box you need to filter it.

Hi

You can restrict a search box to search a subset of fields. Check the option 'List of Fields' and choose the table box fields. You might want to change the 'Text on Search Field' option on the Presentation tab.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your time .

I Actually thought about this 'List of Fields'  option but as i have multiple table boxes with diferent fields.hence it won't be possible .

I guess i just have to educate the customer about this .
