Sorting in Qlikview search object

Hi All,

   I had a customer name in qlik view search object.There are possibilities that name can start with spaces,numbers and alphabets.

   But here i am facing sorting issues in data.

What i am getting is:

    ex:

                   call,

                  1par

                   abc.

                   bac,

                   da@b,

                   cab

     here call name starts with space so in qlikview search object it would be the fisrt customer name.

     if you observe after b , d started instead of c.

This is the issue what  i am facing.

Can any one of you help me on this.

Hi,

Check Search Object Properties and go to Sort Tab and change the Sort Fields By to Text.

It may in your application other sort option is selected

If you use rowno() function, Straight table looses the sort capability. It's documented in the Reference Manual under the RowNo() that charts will not be ordered by Y value nor straight tables by expressions.

Check the Sort tab in Document Properties and make sure the field you want has the Text A-Z checked.

This made the field display correctly in a Search Object for me when the Object properties wouldn't.
