Thread recycling: Variable locked in QV11, works in QV10!

Hi,

I hope you can forgive me for recycling this thread, but according to this one, accidentally hitting the "assumed answered" button is not a particularly good idea if you actually want an answer...

So, the question was:

Hi,

I have a report where two variables are associated with two (date) fields in the following way:

Both fields have a listbox with "always one selected value" turned on, and when the selection is changed, the OnSelect trigger changes the corresponding variable to the numeric value of the date.

Now, here's the funny thing: In QV10SR3 this works perfectly (desktop and server). In QV11SR1 (and in QV11IR) desktop, one of these two variables can be changed using the listbox, but the other one is locked and can't even be changed in the variable overview window (CTRL-ALT-V).

Has anyone ever had a similar problem? I guess it's a bug on QlikViews part --- which is fine with me, as long as there exists a workaround!

PS: I realize that I strictly speaking don't need these variables [ since $(Variable) can be replaced by $(#=Only(Field)) ], but this application has been around for a long time and many users have objects of their own with expressions including $(Variable) in them, so I'd rather not wreck them by upgrading...
