Too much memory usage

Hi All,

I am using Qlikview 12 PE. I have only one table with 7 fields loaded from QVD. Seven Fields are having number of distinct items respectively 1,2,3,4,36,36,120000. So distinct items are not too much. Total records are 87 million.

There are no calculation or charts at the moment.

QVD Size : 428 MB

QVW Size: 130 MB

Memory usage : Reaching up to 3 GB as shown by task manager.

Why it's taking so much of RAM in multiples of size of QVD/QVW?

If you store the QVW uncompressed on disk (see Settings->Document Properties->Save Format, set Compression to None), then what file size do you get?

I think it would be same as QVD which is uncompressed.

Yes, as I said, it's again 426 MB, so why still using almost 3 GB RAM.
