Transfer state not working - Document chaining

Hi,

We have an application which has different snapshots coming from database for Yearly, Monthly and Monthly YTD.

We are planning to create 3 different applications for each of these views and on click of Yearly/Monthly/Monthly YTD button the respective application will open. We have copied the same application thrice and linked it through Open QlikView document trigger but the state is not getting transferred.

If the transfer state wont work then , we wont be able use document chaining and we then have to create a single chart 3 times and hide/unhide on click of the button.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Button/Text Object->Properties->Actions->External->Open QlikView Document-

Document: Select the document

Enable Transfer state

**All the files should be in same path for the document chain to work

Thank you for your response.

I have done exactly what you have mentioned. It still doesn't work.

I just realized that the state transfer happens only when the other document is closed.I am not sure why does this happen.

I want to navigate between all the three files.

Hi

Try closing all the qvw's

In order to transfer the filters all 3 dashboarda should have common filters

Not applicable

Hi Sasi,

Recently i have faced the issue and came to know that,

1.Qvw1 u have trigger to open 2.qvw, but here the selections are not transfering because other applications are already in open mode.

eventhough it will work in access point, because when ever u r  triggering the button it will cloe the  Qvw1 and will open Qvw2 in Access point ,

So in Access point always one qvw will be in Opened at a time

Will I have to close the other qvw all the time?

I have created copies of the same file so they have common/same filters.

Not applicable

In Desktop version u have to close it manually,

but in Access point it will get closed automatically once u triggered for second application
