Unable to reload dashboard by QMC

Hi All,

I am able reload the dashboard manually but unable to do the same by QMC. Could someone suggest me something on this.

Hi,

First of all check your log files, if document log is not enabled - enable it in: Document Properties (Ctrl+Alt+D) -> General ->Generate Log File->Save the document.

You'll see exact error message and most likely will be able to resolve the issue.

Few Checks:

1. do you have section access enabled, if yes check if the service account is added as admin

2. Is it fetching data from an ODBC/ OLEDB Connections , if yes make sure the necessary DSN/Driver is defined on the Server hosting the QMC

Also as suggested below Enable the Document Log and check what the error is

Thank you for your suggestions! All the above things were already implemented.

The root cause of the issue is not having QV Publisher. While trying to reload the dashboard with Section access it is unable to figure out the distributor because of not having the distributor list. As an alternate, I have created task in windows task scheduler to run/reload the dashboard.

You do NOT need Publisher to reload an application with Section Access, but you do need to setup a record in the Section Access table for the Windows Service Account being used to run the Distribution Service, I suspect that was the real root cause here.  

Your workaround should work just fine though, but I wanted to let you know that things should also work via the Reload Engine as well.
