Use of 'Set State Name' available in action of button

Hi All,

How one can use 'Set State Name' action available in action of button.

You can use the "Set State Name" action on a button to just change which Alternate State that some sheet object belongs to. This can come in handy in some situations to build more sophisticated user interfaces.

no action as such available directly but we will have to figure out way with macros

I just checked 'Help' for alternate states it says below note

"ons can be set to occur in specific states. One known exception is the Run Macro action. It can be set to run in a specific state; however macros fire in all states."

You are correct if there is no alternate states in your document. But if you have alternate states in the document you will get several new actions listed - just like Geeta says. Then you can trigger these actions in a button.
