Is there any way we can get error codes from a connect statement? We develop lots of different documents from different sources using ole, odbc & excel and then move to 3 different servers. Often one of the TNS names or ODBC connection is missing on one of the servers, but from QEMC QV will just sit there & we are unaware that one of the connections is failing. If we are awrae it's a simple thing to ask IT to make a new connection on their boxes.
So I am looking for a mthod to trap connnetion errors & have QV flag the error, alert us & exit gracefully. We just moved to QV 10.
