Very curious issue - CompanyCodes drop off ...

Hi,

the title pretty much sums up my issue: I have uploaded invoice data - and thus new CompanyCodes - from those parts of the company which do not use SAP. Thus, there are about a dozen more CompanyCodes which are appended to that fact table, but also to the specific table which is later used for the SA.

The issue is, all CompanyCodes are available in the DataModel.qvw - on the productive server - but in the application (GUI) one step further (on the productive server) they are not - only those four or five which are in SAP. And there is nothing inbetween, the application just load the datamodel in a BINARY.

That is what things look like in the state the qvw files are in since the regular reload today around 2am.

When I reload the application now - from the same DataModel - the CompanyCodes pop up.

The only difference is that the reload at night is of course done on the server via the QMC and we have the Publisher installed.

I have stepped through the SA that's in the application bit by bit and all CompanyCodes are and remain available throughout the process.

Several users (like me) have the word "ALL" as key to the CompanyCode_table which links to all available CompanyCodes.

=> The question is: What other place is there that we could look for any filter that would keep QMC from loading those CompanyCodes at night?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

DataNibbler

hello

which user is used by reload on QMC ?

has it the "ALL" access ?

Hi Olivier,

thanks for the answer! Yes - the reload on the QMC is done via a dedicated user named qlikadmin that does have the ALL access to everything.

P.S.: Where in the QMC can I look that up? There are several dedicated server_users in the AD, seemingly all of them have the ALL access - but having a closer look is never a mistake ...

In all our reports there is an automatism to select the current year and the current month by default - for that, there is no data from the NonSAP CompanyCodes, only up to May ... but that is only on the surface and it shouldn't affect the loading of data?

the selection of data is only affected bye access rights

Hi,

can anyone give me a hint here? I'm just looking through it all again, but as yet I cannot spot anything ...

marcus_sommer

Is the section access completely enabled within the datamodel.qvw, too? Further did you check if these values within the section access and their linking within the normal datamodel are really the same? I mean checking that there are no unvisible spaces or other chars and numbers are really numbers and not strings and similar stuff.

Hi Marcus,

the SA is only in the application (GUI), not in the DataModel. I have already stepped through the SA once and spotted no error, but I will do it again now. I have to check invisible spaces once again, typos and the like.

Btw., where can I view what user is being used in the QMC for reloading? I'd like to check that, too, there is definitely a typo in our manuel list - but that same typo might be in the AD. There are three server_users in there that have an ALL access - which is actually linked to all Bukrs which are in the DataModel. But there might be something - it's the only logical explanation I have that something is wrong about the SA and thus the QMC does not reload the added data. Access_rights to directories must be right because it is all loaded up to the datamodel.

There is a thread to that I have found, but I don't know what or where the "services.msc" is located - a file on the QlikView server?

Thanks (for answering in that other thread)!

I will look that up.
