Web Server Service is not running

Hi ,

QV Web server service is showing as disconnected in the Qlikview Management Console. But in the Services.msc all the services are running fine. I am not able to find the reason for the issue. It is contradictory Since it is showing as disconnected in management console and it is working in Services.msc. Please suggest

Same issue here, no IIS involved.

My Qlikview Server is running fine, using QVWS, but the QEMC displays bad information for the QVWS service (i.e. disconnected). QMC has the same issue.

The access point is working fine and may be accessed with http://svm-ids-04/Qlikview/index.htm or locally (http://localhost/qlikview/index.htm).

Is there a way to fix this, without reinstalling QVS?

Check that you can browse to http://localhost:4750/qvws.asmx in IE. Pay attention to the zone in IE, itmust be Local Intranet (should be default for localhost).

If the URL to QVWS is http://svm-ids-04:4750/qvws.asmx browse to it in IE and check that you're not prompted for authentication. The response back should be "POST request without contents, can't process". If you're prompted for credentials add the URL to Local Intranet.

Thanks!

I tried and both URLs are displaying the same error "POST request without contents, can't process", both in the Local Intranet zone.

In QEMC, the option QVWS/General/Location/Url is set to "http://svm-ids-04/Qlikview/index.htm". I tried to change it to "http://svm-ids-04:4750/qvws.asmx" (along with the port number) but that didn't fix the issue.

This issue didn't occur until QVS was updated from the latest 9.x version to V10.

Any suggestions?

Bjorn .. why did you choose for localhost? do you use this in all your URLs in QMC? rather than domain name or IP?
