What does green color in selection indicates?

Hi All,

error loading image

Strange thing is happening in one of my document. When I select the year from the year list box in the month field, jan-mar is in grey, apr-sep is in white and oct-dec is in green. As per qlikview grey is non selected value, white is selected value and about those which are in green???

That is the one which is confusing me. What does green color mean?

Hi,

If you can share that QV file, probably Root Cause can be traced.

Hi,

This had happened with one of my project also.

I will give you an example to understand this.

e.g. Department: A, B, C and Designation: a, b, c.

Assume that all these designations are in each of the department.

If you select Dept A, all designations will be in white (all applicable).

Now if you select Desgn b, this is there in all Dept A, B and C. So, they turn green.

This shows that before selecting Designation, you had selected something else (Dept).

In your case, if you select Quarter first, you won't have green color in FYear.

But if you select FYear after selecting Quarter, you will get green color for all the Quarters which are applicable.

I hope this clarifies the difference.

Select Quarter Only; Don't select Financial Year (It will be automatically selected).

In my case I have selected only the year(2009). Still it shows grey, white and as well as green in the month.

Hi Rikab,

instead of creating fields like YEAR, MONTH, etc. in your script there are expressions in each listbox like

=QuarterName(TranDate)

If you select a year so the corresponding values are signed green.

Create your time fields in the script by:

Load

Year(DateField) as Year,

Month(DateField) as Month

.....

and so on.

Good luck!
