What is "Objects Clients Page generator" useful for ?

Hi,

once opening Qlikview client, you can find "Objects Clients Page generator" in the "Tools" menu.
What does this feature is useful for ?
Are their license pre requisite ?
How may this feature be used ? (Pages are generated in the selected folder but each Default.htm is not working, should I create an iis website before ? anything else ?)

Thanks a lot for your answers 🙂

Hello,

I never try this option, but look what I've found on the help file :

<h1>Objects Client Page Generator</h1>
This dialog helps you generate html pages for displaying the current document on QlikView Server for one or more of the three objects based clients. A best effort will be made to replicate the appearance of the document in the various clients. The generated pages will be saved in a location of your choice in separate folders for each client type, ready for publication on your web server. The pages can of course be edited further at your discretion using a third-party html editor.
Note!
For best results, we strongly recommend you to use the Layout menu command Adjust object maximum size to current size on all list boxes, multi boxes, table boxes and table charts in the document before running the page generation.
The following settings can be made:
Generate page for use with QlikX client (IE plug-in objects)
If this check box is marked, a page will be generated for the object version of the QlikView IE plug-in (a.k.a. QlikX).
Generate page for use with QlikView Java Objects client
If this check box is marked, a page will be generated for the object version of the QlikView Java client (a.k.a. QlikView Java Objects).
Generate page for use with QlikView AJAX Zero-Footprint client
If this check box is marked, a page will be generated for the QlikView AJAX Zero-Footprint client.
Include Toolbar in QlikView AJAX Zero-Footprint Client
This option is checked by default, and will include a basic navigation toolbar in the generated pages.
Generate Preview in QlikView of AJAX ZFC page
If this check box is marked, the AJAX ZFC page will appear as a preview in a new html window inside QlikView after generation.
Target folder for pages
Specifies the folder where the generated pages will be saved. Each page variant (for different client types) will be saved in a separate sub-folder in the specified location.
Document URL
Specifies the target document URL on the QlikView Server where the pages are to be run. This setting is necessary for the Ajax, Java Objects and QlikX pages to work correctly.
