Whats this " Copy to Clipboard --> Object "

When we right click on any object, there's an option "Copy to Clipboard --> Object" apart from copy to clipboard as image and values.

Image -- will get a snap shot of that chart to be pasted anywhere.

Values -- will get the values of the chart to be pasted in excel.

But I am confused what's this copy to clipboard as Object would do.

Is it a way by which we can export the chart with its dynamisim to a excel sheet where in, it acts more than just a static image..but as a dynamic chart there aslo as it was in QlikView environment.

Hi,

Yes, that's exactly the functionality. There is no way to copy those objects so they can work as in QlikView but in any other application, the same way you cannot copy dynamic tables from Excel to QlikView.

However, you can copy all the relevant data to Excel and then do the dynamic table using these data as source.

Hello,

Copy to Clipboard, Object will copy the object itself so you can later paste into a different sheet of your document or any other QlikView document opened in your computer.

This object will only work in QlikView. In excel you can paste either the data or the image, but not the object "clicakble" as it is in QlikView.

Hope that helps.

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for the reply.

So basically this copy option is aimed at copying the chart objects across different sheets in same qlikview document or even to different qlikview documents..and not for copying the objects outside qlikview developer?

If its so, can u please tell me if there's any method by which I can expect to copy chart objects to excel and make it work like dynamic charts..?
