above() and before() functions

Hi community,

I try to shorten time of calculation in pivot and use above() and before() functions for this purpose. But sometimes when applying filters QV calculates normally

and sometimes not.

Maybe it depends on the order of calculation and really when change sorting helps but not always. Can anyone explain and help me in this?

Difficult to say by just looking at the image... would you be able to share a sample with the selections which gives the first output and the selections which gives the second output?

Hi Sunny)

I took your advice in some discussion for adding extra totals to pivot).. and faced the problem of long time calculation with many totals. Frankly, I've found the solution - replaced expressions with variables, just adding  '$(=....)'  . And now it works considerably fast, 5-10 seconds instead of 30-60. As for above, I think it's not so actual, but it has something to do with it) In any case, thank you for your attention and I like your comments in the forum)
