Has someone tried cumulative growth in Qlikview ..
like example. sample formula and output is attached in excel
May be something along these lines
(RangeSum(Above(Sum({<Year = {2017}>}NSV), 0, RowNo())) -
RangeSum(Above(Sum({<Year = {2016}>}NSV), 0, RowNo()))) /
RangeSum(Above(Sum({<Year = {2017}>}NSV), 0, RowNo()))
Could you explain the logic of your calculation?
logic is there in attached excel file ..
stalwar1.. Your input will be appreciated
if you see excel file growth wou be some of all the values and cumulative growth would be p1Ly -p1Ly / p1Ly and for next is the output of that + p2CY-P2Ly/P2LY and so on till 12 months
I see two year columns. And also it would be easy for me if you could write excel formula to derive the data.
column | Growth | Cumulative Growth
12 | Period | Year | Growth | Cumulative Growth
13 | P01 | 2016 | 30% | 30% | C15-C12/C15
14 | P02 | 2016 | -25% | 0% | C15-C12/C15+C16-c14/C16
15 | P03 | 2016 | 18% | -4% |
| |
16 | P01 | 2017 | 130 | |||
17 | P02 | 2017 | 90 | |||
18 | P03 | 2017 | 130 |
May be something along these lines
(RangeSum(Above(Sum({<Year = {2017}>}NSV), 0, RowNo())) -
RangeSum(Above(Sum({<Year = {2016}>}NSV), 0, RowNo()))) /
RangeSum(Above(Sum({<Year = {2017}>}NSV), 0, RowNo()))
Sorry my formulas are like this ..
column | Growth | Cumulative Growth
12 | Period | Year | Growth | Cumulative Growth
13 | P01 | 2016 | 100 | 30% | C16-C13/C13 |
14 | P02 | 2016 | 120 | 0% | (C16+C17)-(C13+C14)/(C13+C14) |
15 | P03 | 2016 | 110 | -4% | |
16 | P01 | 2017 | 130 | ||
17 | P02 | 2017 | 90 | ||
18 | P03 | 2017 | 130 | #VALUE! | |
Basically Ly -Cy/Cy and then for Next period we will add the values in formula.. And it will keep on going. |
