Can anybody explain in easy way, dimensionality() and secondarydimensionality() and when to use

Have you checked the 'examples of chart inter record functions' in the Help file? This contains examples of dimensionality() and secondarydimensionality().

yes gone through the help file but didnt understand, can u post any example

Dimensionality() and SecondaryDimensionality() can be used to determine in which type of line in a chart (Total / subtotal / detail) the expression is evaluated.

Thus your expression can 'react' on its context.

See attached for a sample.

[Take care in a pivot table, the outcome of Dimensionality / secondary dimensionality() is depending on your dimensions pivoted to the top or not, just play around to see what I mean]
