how to group few values from a field?

Hi,

I have a field called Ch_Name.

I am giving example

Apple,

Banana,

Mango,

Orange,

Fruits,

Vegetables,

Cucumber,

Carrot.

Here i need to group Apple,Banana,Mango,Orange and make it as Fruits (Alias name for all those values)

and show the data for those apple, banana, mango and orange.

but the name it should show as Fruits in the front end, instead of apple, banana, mango and orange.

How we can do it in QlikView?

Look in the Help File at 'Mapping Load' and 'applymap()', using these should allow you to easily map your Ch_Name values to the relevant catergory.

Alternatively a Left Join onto your original table may well be the better solution - again the Help File will show you some good examples.

All the best,
