how to reduce qvw file in qlikview report.

I have developed Inventory report and size of this file is around 60 MB so how to reduce that file size.

Hi,

To reduce the file size follow this

- Remove unused dimensions which are not using in any charts, filters etc.

- Remove unwanted records, for example if only 2 years of data then load only that data.

- Truncate Time part in date, if you are not using it.

- Remove unused hidden objects if any in your dashboard.

Generally this are the things i follow to reduce the size.

In addition to Jagan's recommendations:

Try typing Ctrl-Shift S. This will show you any hidden objects which may also be processing intensive. This is often the case if you are inheriting a QV app from someone else.

If you are talking about reducing to possible values with limited data, then, select your required data set from list boxes (Like year-2013, Month-Sep..) ->File->Reduce Data-> Keep Possible Values
