how to set default selection

I would like to know how to set default selection in sheet object. ie. when we first login, the max(year) should be selected by default.

Default selections can be made by using Document Bookmarks and using triggers combined easily.

1.Make selections -> Add Bookmark(save as document bookmark) Note Bookmark ID

2.Sheet Properties-> Triggers-> Activate-> Bookmarks--> provide above Bookmark ID.

works like charm.

You can do that same for Document level triggers.
